Editor’s Note: This is the continuation of a short series written to the church of this hour. On a recent podcast episode we gave a seven-year prophetic word about the “Rachel church” that is coming forth in this season. This series is written to all who are part this rising and shining company of believers! Here’s the podcast episode in case you missed it:
The beautiful bride of Christ is waking up everywhere! In every country men, women, and children are awakening to the reality of God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We are living in exciting times! The last few years have been a mini “apocalypse,” as many things once hidden have now been revealed.
People’s prejudice and selfishness, the shallowness of the church, many unhealthy leaders both within the church and without. God has allowed the curtain to be opened and for many things to be exposed to the light. It has been a shaky decade so far, but it has also allowed people with the right intentions to shine.
Leaders Rising
There are many leaders that God has been raising up in the secret place that will gain influence in the next seven years. Many of these leaders still have small followings but that is on purpose because God is teaching them to be faithful with the small things.
These leaders, first and foremost will live out of the foundation that they are loved by God. They will absolutely be marked by tender and caring hearts because of the way in which God has loved them. They are not obsessing over a platform or making a name for themselves. They are simply honored to have a part to play in God’s unfolding plan.
These leaders will also have the big picture in mind. They will know that the nations belong to the Lord and that he will make all things new. They are patient and trust in the Father’s timing to make a new heaven and new earth.
These rising leaders will have a heart for the lost, the lonely, and the forgotten. They will not prioritize the healthy but the sick–just as Jesus came to heal the sick and not the healthy. And by that I mean, people who are already well are already well. But there are many hurting and broken people all around that need tending to. They will let Jesus lead them away from the 99 for the sake of the 1, even if they lose fame or credibility in doing so.
All the Small Things
For those of you who are feeling like you might be one of those leaders: remember to rejoice in the small things! Remember that God celebrates and rewards even giving cups of water to the little ones. So much of the sermon of the mount is Jesus teaching us to value the small things done in secret before the Father.
And in this way we truly become “a city on a hill.” We become “the light of the world.” This is because we are the ones who know we are loved by God. Every day is an opportunity to be grateful for life, and grateful for all the small blessings he gives us. Paul teaches in Romans 1 that a part of sin’s root issue is simply being ungrateful . . . not giving thanks where thanks is due.
It’s so important to be grateful that you exist, that you were created by God and are now loved by him as well! Gratitude will stand the test of time. Be thankful that God gave you his Son and Spirit to dwell in you. You are uniquely made and chosen by him. These are the only foundations that will stand.
Make the Most of Where You Are
Wherever God has you, make the most of it. He is purposeful in the seasons he keeps us in, and he will keep us there as long needed until we learn the lessons he has for us. He is a good Father and he desires to raise us right. He wants us to be healthy and whole and he uses the circumstances around us to teach us valuable things. All of this develops deeper trust, a foundational aspect of the rising Rachel Bride.
Jesus has created all of us on purpose and he knows exactly what he’s doing in our lives! This may seem like some simple stuff but in this complicated times, it’s important for believers to stay true to the simplicity of Christ! Continue to shine bright in this hour, in small ways, and God will continue to trust you with more influence over the next seven years! And above all, remember this: Jesus loves me this I know…
