Fun Facts About Christ in You

Fun Fact #1: You don’t have to worry anymore.

Christ is in you. Do you think he’s worried?

No, Christ doesn’t have an existential crisis about the state of his soul every day. He’s not worried that he’s not good enough, or that the Father is going to kick him out of Heaven. He’s not worried about the economy or the political climate.

So many of our thought processes begin with a belief that we are missing something or that something is terribly wrong beyond repair. Christ doesn’t think that way. “Christ in you” means that your starting point for everything is “all things are yours” (1 Corinthians 3:21). You’re aren’t missing anything. Christ in you means you have everything already. You don’t have to worry anymore. Should you be concerned at times? Sure. Should you handle your responsibilities? Yes. But worry? No. Fear of missing out? Nope. That doesn’t exist in Christ. Christ isn’t afraid of missing out on anything. He knows the Father has given him all things. And therefore the Father has given you all things as well, in Christ (Luke 15:31).

Fun Fact #2: When you die, you will be lifted into God’s presence where there are pleasures forevermore and fullness of joy.

That’s awesome, isn’t it? Fear of death is a dark, looming cloud over humanity. But not over Christ. He said, “My heart is glad and my tongue rejoices, my body will also rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand” (Psalm 16:10-11).

Fun Fact #3: You can see all of life through his eyes.

You don’t have to hate yourself anymore. You don’t have to be constantly critiquing yourself. Christ doesn’t do that. Christ is in you. See yourself as a glorious son of God the way Christ sees himself. Paul understood this. He said “I do not even judge (evaluate) myself” (1 Corinthians 4:3). Leave all evaluation to the Father who will reward you greatly for every mustard seed of faith you’ve ever had, and every glass of water you’ve ever given out, and every time you relaxed in bed and your heart was grateful to God for creating this life.

A note for men – you don’t have to objectify women anymore. Christ doesn’t do that. Christ sees them as beautiful sisters who are made in his image. Christ enjoys their company as mutual and equal partners in friendship. Any thoughts of objectifying are not you. You have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Of course, this same revelation goes for women in seeing men as brothers and friends through the pure lens of Christ within.

Fun Fact #4: You can have hope for the world.

Christ is incredibly confident that the he and the Father are making all things new (Revelation 21:4-5). So, that’s the way you should think now – because Christ lives in you. His hope fills your mind with an optimistic outlook for this world. Every nation is created for the glory of the Father and to be loved by him. Christ has never lost hope in this. And he lives in you.
